Folkestone Documentary Festival
The 4th edition of the Folkestone Documentary Festival featured the best in new international documentaries. 12 feature-length films, 12 shorts, an exhibition, a communal swim, parties, an industry day, and the chance to hear from amazing filmmakers in post-film Q&As in a friendly and fun atmosphere. Venues included The Silver Screen, Folkestone's gem of an independent cinema, Creative Folkestone's flagship Quarterhouse venue and Space Bar, Folkestone's cosiest Bar.
Ramsgate Community Cinema
Kent Film Foundation are managing the new Ramsgate Community Cinema, set up entirely by resident/volunteers who would like to see a cinema in the town. The project is over seen by the management team, the professional youth film mentors and trustees of the foundation, many of whom are professional filmmakers, exhibitors and distributors.
